PHILIPPINE National Bank (PNB) is partnering with Personal Equity and Retirement Account (PERA) administrator Luna Securities Inc. to expand access to retirement investment products through digital channels.
PNB, through its Trust Banking Group, said on Thursday that it had signed a strategic partnership agreement with Luna, which will serve as a distribution partner for the bank’s PERA products through its digital investment platform.
The partnership will allow investors to access PNB’s retirement investment solutions, supporting the bank’s efforts to broaden its reach and strengthen its presence in the digital investment market.
PNB Senior Vice President Jiah Santos said the partnership would help make retirement investing more accessible and convenient for Filipino investors.
“By combining PNB’s investment management expertise with Luna Securities’ digital capabilities, we can make retirement investing more accessible, convenient and relevant to today’s investors,” she added.
PNB said the collaboration was designed to provide a digital investment experience covering account opening through redemption, while promoting awareness of PERA, the country’s voluntary retirement savings program.
PERA aims to encourage Filipinos to make long-term retirement investments by providing tax incentives and other benefits to qualified investors.
Luna Securities is an accredited PERA administrator and digital investment platform provider that offers investment and retirement planning solutions through technology-driven services.
PNB shares on Thursday dropped P1.20, or 1.60 percent, to close at P73.80 each.
