
SHAH ALAM, May 11 - The police have arrested the 26-year-old driver of a Proton Inspira following a three-vehicle collision on the New Klang Valley Expressway, after the incident footage went viral on social media.
FMT reported that Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said the incident took place around 11pm on Saturday (May 9), at KM28 of the highway while heading toward the Duta Toll Plaza.
The crash occurred after the Proton Inspira skidded and stopped in the fast lane, where it was subsequently struck by a Proton Wira and a Toyota Hilux.
The impact sent the vehicles veering into the left road barrier, causing significant damage to all three. Despite the wreckage, no injuries were reported among any of the drivers.He added that the case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
Police actions include obtaining CCTV footage from the scene, recording witness statements, visiting the crash site, and photographing the involved vehicles.
