LAHAD DATU: Police have launched an investigation into a viral incident involving three vehicles overtaking dangerously, as captured on a dashboard camera.
District police chief ACP Dzulbaharin Ismail said on Tuesday that the case is being investigated under Section 42 of the Road Transport Act 1987.
Two individuals linked to the incident have come forward to assist police with their enquiries at the district police headquarters.
Police are now seeking the driver of a white Toyota Hilux, registration number SD 8929 F, identified as Basri Umar from Perumahan Baiduri, Felda Sahabat 7.
Authorities urge Basri to surrender immediately and have requested the public to inform him if they know his whereabouts.
