
KUALA LUMPUR – Police have launched an extensive manhunt following a daring armed robbery at a gold shop in Sentral Suites, Brickfields, resulting in the theft of jewellery valued at approximately RM9.75 million.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the incident occurred at around 11 am today when four men, two of whom were armed with pistols, stormed the shop and fled with 21 trays of gold, weighing roughly 15 kilogrammes.
“The four suspects, armed with two pistols, entered the premises and escaped with 21 trays of gold,” he said in a statement today.
Datuk Fadil added that the robbers also seized a pump-action shotgun belonging to the security guard, along with a single round of ammunition.
The identities of the suspects remain unknown, and police are actively tracking all four individuals. Investigations are ongoing.
