THE Southern Police District (SPD) over the weekend seized more than P4 million worth of dangerous drugs and arrested eight drug personalities in a series of anti-illegal drugs operations initiated within a 24-hour period on Oct. 17 and 18, 2026.
A total of 596.79 grams of suspected shabu valued at P4,058.400 were confiscated in eight separate operations.
SPD director BGen. Rodel Pastor said that the operations also resulted in the arrest of eight individuals, including one classified as a high-value individual.
Those arrested face drug charges.
Pastor said the arrests demonstrate the importance of sustained intelligence gathering, coordinated police operations, and consistent enforcement against illegal drugs.
“We will continue to strengthen our intelligence-driven operations and pursue those involved in the illegal drug trade. Our objective is clear: disrupt the distribution of illegal drugs, hold offenders accountable, and keep our communities safe,” he said.
He encouraged the public to continue reporting suspected illegal drug activities to the police, emphasizing that timely information and community cooperation contribute significantly to law enforcement efforts.
