PETALING JAYA: Police in Perak are tracking down the owner of a car who allowed two children to climb through the sunroof while driving along the Meru-Jelapang highway yesterday.
Ipoh police chief Najib Hamzah said an investigation was initiated after the discovery of a 21-second video of the incident on Facebook, Utusan Malaysia reported.
“We are tracking down the driver to have a statement taken,” he was quoted as saying.
He also urged those with information on the incident to contact the Ipoh police headquarters at 05-2451500 or the nearest police station.
The video, which went viral, showed two girls climbing through the sunroof of the moving car, sparking criticism online.
