Kuala Lumpur: Political maturity among leaders of the two major coalitions in the Unity Government must continue to be strengthened to safeguard stability and keep Malaysia’s development on track, said Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali (pic).Armizan, who is also Papar MP, said differences in political views did not necessarily prevent cooperation, noting that Cabinet interactions had remained harmonious, constructive and professional despite political exchanges outside the government.
He said government stability was crucial, citing the period between 2018 and 2022 when Malaysia had three prime ministers and three Cabinet line-ups in a single term as unsuitable for building sustainable prosperity.
Armizan said National Month should remind Malaysians that everyone had a role in nation-building, stressing that patriotism should extend beyond National Day celebrations and be reflected in a shared determination to build the country’s future.
