Rapid Rail adjusts Putrajaya Line’s last train schedule on March 7-8 for cable theft repairs, offering feeder buses and alternative routes for affected passengers.
PUTRAJAYA: The last train schedule on the Putrajaya Line will be adjusted tonight and tomorrow night to facilitate urgent repair works.
Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd stated the change is necessary following a power supply cable theft incident that disrupted services.
The final train from Putrajaya Sentral Station towards Kwasa Damansara, scheduled for 11.35 pm tonight and 11.05 pm tomorrow, will now terminate at Metro Prima Station.
Free feeder bus services will operate from Metro Prima Station to subsequent stations up to Kwasa Damansara to continue passenger journeys.
The feeder buses will run at a frequency of between 15 and 20 minutes.
“Passengers who wish to continue their journey to Kwasa Damansara can also use the Kajang Line as an alternative route,” Rapid Rail said.
Services from Kwasa Damansara Station to Putrajaya Sentral Station will continue to operate as usual without any changes.
The company said the measure was taken to speed up the recovery process of the affected infrastructure.
It aims for Putrajaya Line operations to return to normal as soon as possible.
Since the cable theft was detected on March 3, Rapid Rail’s technical team has been fully mobilised to carry out repairs.
Work is focused on ensuring the service can be restored safely and stably.
To expedite repairs, engineering hours on Saturday and Sunday nights will be extended.
This provides additional time for the technical team to reinstall cables, conduct system testing and perform safety inspections.
Passengers are advised to obtain the latest service status information through Rapid KL’s official social media channels or the MyRapid PULSE application.
