MANILA, Philippines — The Akari Chargers finally broke their three-game losing skid, claiming their first win in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference with a 25-18, 25-23, 23-25, 25-22 victory over Nxled Chameleons Tuesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.

Ivy Lacsina delivered a game-high 20 points, all on attacks, and added 10 excellent receptions to propel Akari to 1-3 mark.

Ced Domingo found her form, making 17 points on 14 attacks, two blocks, and an ace, while Eli Soyud added 13 points.

Grethcel Soltones displayed an all-around performance with a triple-double outing of 12 points, along with 14 excellent digs and 10 excellent receptions.

Mars Alba's exceptional playmaking, with 22 excellent sets and five points on offense, enabled four Akari Chargers players to score in double figures, fueling their comeback win over Nxled Chameleons.

“0-3 is done, there’s another chance. We need to prove that we can rise on all occasions,” Akari head coach Tina Salak said after the game.

Akari managed to limit high-scoring gunner and three-time league MVP Brooke Van Sickle to 16 points, as Myla Pablo and MJ Phillips churned out 14 and 12 points, respectively.

This is Nxled’s second consecutive loss in the league after a 3-0 start.
