MANILA, Philippines — Perennial league cellar-dweller Galeries Tower stunned erstwhile unbeaten Nxled in four sets, 25-19, 17-25, 25-20, 25-21, in the preliminary round of the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on Thursday evening at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

Nxled, led by three-time PVL Most Valuable Player Brooke Van Sickle, Myla Pablo and Aby Maraño, failed to contain the prowess of Rose Baliton, who scored 16 points on seven attacks, seven blocks, and two aces.

The Highrisers improved to 2-2 in the team standings and gave the Chameleons their first loss in four games.
