MANILA, Philippines — Several roads in Quezon City will be temporarily closed on Sunday morning for the 2026 ARTAkbo: Run for Transparency and Accountability for Good Governance organized by the Anti-Red Tape Authority.
The Quezon City government said portions of Scout Rallos, Mother Ignacia Avenue, Don A. Roces Avenue, and Tomas Morato Avenue would be affected by the road closures.
Half of Scout Rallos will be closed starting 4 a.m., while the full stretch of Mother Ignacia, Don A. Roces, and Tomas Morato will be closed beginning 6 a.m.
Authorities said Scout Rallos, Mother Ignacia, and Don A. Roces will remain closed until 8 a.m.
Tomas Morato, meanwhile, will stay closed until 10 a.m. in line with the city government’s regular Sunday “Car-free, Carefree” program.
The city government said personnel from the Traffic and Transport Management Department, Department of Public Order and Safety, Task Force Disiplina, and the Quezon City Police District would be deployed to manage traffic flow in affected areas.
Motorists were advised to take alternative routes due to the expected traffic buildup.
