Rabiya and Jake make it official

IT would be one of redundancy to hear Rabiya Mateo and Jake Cuenca spill the tea about their real score.

Theirs is a classic example of "what-you-see-is-what-you-get" kind of romance that needs no straightforward admission.

Sighted together many times over — and cozy with each other at that — what is there to confess? Name it: at the airport's arrival area, at a kiddie party in BGC, at a showbiz editor's birthday shindig, a quick getaway in Hong Kong, etc.

One thing's for certain, Rabiya and Jake have never been this openly proud and happy with each other.

To begin with, time was on their side when their paths intersected. It's as if there was a stellar alignment that caused it to happen.

Both were back to being single, ready to give the next relationship a nice try while keeping their hopes high this could finally be "it."

Rabiya can only thank she has found the guy supportive of her dream of becoming a  doctor like her dad; Jake for ending up with the woman who brings out the best in him in every way.

It's public knowledge that both of them had wrestled with their respective relationships to the bitter end.

Either it was the result of the wrong choices they made, or it was simply not meant to be at the very onset.

Now fragments of the past, Rabiya and Jake can only look forward this one--God willing — is for keeps.

Finally, it was in his May 27 guesting on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda where Jake put to rest swirling speculations — he and Rabiya are now officially a couple!

FACED with a deplorable political climate, Derrick Monasterio admits to have discussed with girlfriend Elle Villanueva his plan of relocating abroad — for good.

In particular, the goings-on at the Senate have ruffled the feathers of the Sparkle artist: "I'm beginning to lose hope for our country."

Derrick says he has already  gotten Elle's nod of approval over his idea of migrating to some foreign land: "I'm more concerned about the future of our kids if ever, what future awaits them if all this political turmoil persists, if worsens? My heart goes out to every Filipino who deserves a better government, better leaders."

Settling abroad: isn't this what Senator Robin Padilla is also planning together with wife Mariel Rodriguez and two daughters, this time because of the atrocious political system?

Between Robin and Derrick, whose reason holds water?

The chutzpah!
