A Race Across the World contestant found an unexpected connection to a driver who offered to take them to a bus station in Greece.

In-laws Mark, 66, and Margo, 59, embarked on the BBC challenge to follow the "last wishes" of Mark's late wife and Margo's sister Julia, the pair told the broadcaster.

Nomi, who offered Mark and Margo a ride, told the pair her mother died three years ago from cancer, similarly to Mark's wife.

The young woman also revealed that her mother was an architect, matching Mark's profession before his retirement.
