KOTA BELUD: Umno Supreme Council Member Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan said Umno Sabah should not be apologetic about being a peninsula-based party.
He said this in view of the overall sentiment of Sabahans who want purely local-based parties to govern the State and fight for their rights under the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
While Rahman acknowledged this, he said being a local-based party would be ineffective without leveraging on having a direct connection with the Federal Government.
