SUBANG JAYA, Dec 8 — The Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah officiated the Selangor Eco Run 2024 programme at the Community Park in Putra Heights today.
His Highness was accompanied by state executive councillor for public health and the environment Jamaliah Jamaluddin, state executive councillor for investment, trade, and mobility Ng Sze Han, Selangor State Assembly Speaker Lau Weng San, and other state assemblymen.
Meanwhile, the State Economic Planning Unit (Upen) said the Selangor Eco Run aims to promote sustainability, raise awareness of environmental conservation, and unite the community through activities that support a healthy lifestyle.

“Under the drive towards sustainability, participants are encouraged to adopt several green initiatives, including bringing reusable water bottles, recycled clothing and cooking oil,” it said in a statement.
Upen added that the programme, co-organised by the Selangor Youth Community and the Subang Jaya City Council, attracted 1,500 participants who took part in the five-kilometre Fun Run.
“This initiative underscores the state government’s commitment to environmental conservation while encouraging a healthy lifestyle,” it said.
