RANAU: Hundreds of villagers of Kg Bongkud and Kg Namaus, here, voiced their objection to the move by a private company said to be opening up a gold mine in their villages.
They held a meeting at Mini Dewan Kg Bongkud on Sunday to express their dissatisfaction.
Chairman of their protest committee, Pita Yusuf, told the third meeting that it was aimed at protesting the company’s plans and defending their environment.
