Potential Manchester United stakeholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe has a man in mind to become the club's sporting director.
Ratcliffe, who is the chief of INEOS, is buying 25 percent of United shares and assuming sporting control.
He is set to appoint a new CEO at United, while John Murtough will also be replaced as sporting director.
Per The Independent, former Liverpool chief Martin Edwards is the man that Ratcliffe wants for Murtough's job.
That position has also been touted as being earmarked for Paul Mitchell or Dougie Freedman.
Edwards was long chased by Chelsea, but has not worked since he left Liverpool in 2022.
