Razer recently unveiled the Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed, a pair of true wireless gaming earbuds designed for gamers, and now they’re following it up with specialised versions for Xbox and PlayStation users.
While the original Razer Hammerhead V3 HyperSpeed gaming earbuds were priced at RM399, for RM469 you can opt for either the Xbox version or the PlayStation version of the Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed. This extra RM70 not only gets you a new colourway based off their respective consoles, but also adds some extra features.
Specifically, the Xbox and PlayStation models will come with Windows Sonic for Xbox and Sony’s 3D Audio for PlayStation; both support THX Spatial Audio on PC too. On top of that, its charging case also functions as the 2.4GHz HyperSpeed wireless receiver. Instead of using a separate USB dongle, you can just plug in the case to your console, PC or mobile device via USB-C to enable Razer’s low-latency wireless connection.
For everyday use, the earbuds also support Bluetooth 5.3, while Razer’s SmartSwitch Dual Wireless feature allows users to switch between the HyperSpeed and Bluetooth connections without having to manually re-pair the earbuds.
According to Razer, the earbuds are capable of up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge, with the charging case extending total battery life to up to 35 hours. The Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed is also rated IPX4 for splash resistance and features touch controls for media playback and calls.
