Real Madrid have announced successful knee surgery for Eder Militao.
The Brazil defender broke down in their win against Athletic Bilbao on Friday. The surgery is expected to see Militao ruled out for the season.
Real announced today: "Our player Eder Militao underwent successful surgery today to resolve the rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee by Dr. Manuele Leyes, under the supervision of the Real Madrid medical services.
"Madrid and Militao will begin his recovery process in the next few days."
