Red rainfall warning up in more areas

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Monday issued a red rainfall warning for Metro Manila and other areas.

In its Heavy Rainfall Warning 7 issued at 2 p.m. on Monday, Pagasa raised a red warning over Metro Manila; Bataan; parts of Zambales (Subic, Olongapo, San Antonio, Castillejos); parts of Pampanga (Floridablanca, Lubao, Sasmuan, Macabebe, Masantol); parts of Bulacan (Obando, Bulakan, Malolos, Meycauayan, Hagonoy, Paombong); parts of Rizal (San Mateo, Rodriguez, Antipolo, Cainta, Taytay); and parts of Cavite (Bacoor, Cavite City, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta, Rosario).

"Serious FLOODING is expected in flood-prone areas," Pag-asa said.

It raised orange warning over parts of Zambales (Botolan, San Marcelino, Cabangan, Candelaria, Iba, Masinloc, Palauig, Santa Cruz, San Felipe, San Narciso); other parts of Pampanga (Porac, Minalin, Guagua, Santa Rita); other parts of Bulacan (Balagtas, Bocaue, Calumpit, Guiguinto, Marilao, Plaridel, San Jose del Monte, Santa Maria); other parts of Cavite (General Emilio Aguinaldo, Magallanes, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Carmona, Trece Martires, Dasmariñas, Naic, Maragondon, Ternate, General Trias, Tanza); parts of Batangas (Nasugbu, Balayan, Calatagan, Lian, Tuy); parts of Laguna (San Pedro, Biñan); and parts of Rizal (Baras, Tanay, Binangonan, Cardona, Morong, Teresa, Angono).

Yellow warning was raised in Tarlac (Mayantoc, San Clemente, Santa Ignacia, Camiling, Bamban, Capas, San Jose); other parts of Pampanga (Apalit, Bacolor, San Fernando, Mexico, San Luis, San Simon, Santa Ana, Santo Tomas, Angeles, Mabalacat); other parts of Rizal (Jala-Jala, Pililla); other parts of Laguna (Santa Maria, Mabitac, Famy, Cabuyao, Santa Rosa, Siniloan, Pangil, Pakil); other parts of Bulacan (Angat, Baliuag, Bustos, Norzagaray, Pandi, Pulilan, Doña Remedios Trinidad, San Rafael); other parts of Cavite (Mendez, Tagaytay, Alfonso, Indang, Silang, Amadeo); and other parts of Batangas (Calaca, Laurel, Lemery).

Pagasa said light to moderate with occasional heavy rains will affect Nueva Ecija, Quezon, Laguna (Alaminos, Bay, Calauan, Liliw, Los Baños, Luisiana, Magdalena, Majayjay, Nagcarlan, Pagsanjan, Pila, Rizal, San Pablo, Santa Cruz, Victoria, Cavinti, Kalayaan, Lumban, Paete, Calamba), Bulacan (San Ildefonso, San Miguel), Pampanga (Arayat, Candaba, Magalang), Tarlac (Concepcion, Anao, Tarlac City, Gerona, La Paz, Paniqui, Pura, Ramos, San Manuel, Victoria, Moncada) and Batangas (Alitagtag, Batangas City, Bauan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Lipa, Lobo, Mabini, Mataasnakahoy, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis, San Pascual, Santa Teresita, Santo Tomas, Taal, Taysan, Tingloy, Balete, Tanauan, Malvar, Agoncillo, San Nicolas, Talisay).
