Luzon, Western Visayas will have scattered rain showers, thunderstorms

The southwest monsoon (habagat) is still affecting Luzon and the Visayas, bringing scattered rain showers or thunderstorms, the state weather bureau Pagasa said early Saturday morning.

In its 4 a.m. weather advisory, Pagasa said that Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon  (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon), Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro would have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

The rest of Luzon and the rest of the Visayas would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

The rest of the archipelago would experience localized thunderstorms.

Pagasa warned residents of flash floods or landslides in areas experiencing severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, coastal waters in the western and northern sections of Luzon will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will have slight to moderate coastal waters. (TMT)
