
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) raised the red rainfall warning over more areas in Batangas by Monday night.
In its Heavy Rainfall Warning 10 issued at 11 p.m., the red warning covered these parts of Batangas: Calatagan, Lian, Balayan, Tuy, Calaca, Lemery, Mabini, Tingloy, Batangas City, San Pascual, Bauan, San Luis, Taal, Agoncillo, San Nicolas, Santa Teresita, Alitagtag.
"Serious flooding is expected in flood-prone areas," Pagasa said.
Other parts of Batangas were covered by the orange warning: Nasugbu, Cuenca, Ibaan, Lobo, San Jose, Taysan, Laurel. The associated hazard for the orange warning was: "Flooding is still threatening."
The yellow warning was up in these parts of Batangas: Balete, Tanauan, Lipa, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Juan, Santo Tomas, and Talisay. The associated hazard for the yellow warning was: "Flooding in flood-prone areas."
Meanwhile, the above-mentioned orange warning was also up in Zambales; Bataan; and parts of Cavite (Ternate, Maragondon, Magallanes, Alfonso, General Emilio Aguinaldo).
The above-mentioned yellow warning was also up in Metro Manila; other parts of Cavite (Amadeo, General Trias, Indang, Mendez, Silang, Tagaytay, Trece Martires, Bacoor, Cavite City, Dasmariñas, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Imus, Kawit, Naic, Noveleta, Rosario, Tanza, Carmona); parts of Laguna (San Pedro, Biñan, Santa Rosa, Cabuyao, Calamba, Los Baños, Bay, Calauan, Alaminos, San Pablo); parts of Quezon province (San Antonio, Tiaong); Tarlac (San Clemente, Camiling, Mayantoc, San Jose, Capas, Bamban, Santa Ignacia); parts of Pampanga (Porac, Floridablanca, Lubao, Mabalacat, Angeles, Masantol, Macabebe, Sasmuan, Guagua, Santa Rita, Minalin, Bacolor, Apalit, Santo Tomas, San Fernando, San Simon, Mexico), and parts of Bulacan (Bulakan, Malolos, Calumpit, Paombong, Hagonoy, San Jose del Monte, Santa Maria, Meycauayan, Marilao, Bocaue, Obando, Balagtas, Guiguinto, Plaridel, Pulilan).
"Meanwhile, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains affecting Nueva Ecija, Tarlac (Concepcion, Anao, Tarlac City, Gerona, La Paz, Paniqui, Pura, Ramos, San Manuel, Victoria, Moncada), Pampanga (Arayat, Candaba, Magalang, San Luis, Santa Ana), Bulacan (Angat, Baliuag, Bustos, Doña Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray, Pandi, San Ildefonso, San Miguel, San Rafael), Laguna (Liliw, Luisiana, Magdalena, Majayjay, Nagcarlan, Pagsanjan, Pila, Rizal, Santa Cruz, Victoria, Cavinti, Famy, Kalayaan, Lumban, Mabitac, Paete, Pakil, Pangil, Santa Maria, Siniloan) and Quezon (General Nakar, Infanta, Real, Dolores, Candelaria, Sariaya, Lucban, Tayabas, Mauban, Sampaloc, Lucena, Pagbilao, Atimonan) which may persist within 3 hours and may affect nearby areas," Pagasa said.
