Julian Nagelsmann and Chelsea went mutually cold on eachother this week.
The former Bayern Munich coach confirmed he would not be seeking the Blues job on Thursday.
The Independent says Chelsea's management team deemed him "too like Tuchel", with Thomas Tuchel having been dismissed by club owner Todd Boehly at the beginning of the season.
Tuchel has since gone on to replace Nagelsmann at Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile, Nagelsmann pulled back from talks, convinced he couldn't work within Chelsea's structure.
However, the German is open to hearing from Tottenham, which are also seeking a long-term manager after Antonio Conte's departure.
