RM200 Madani F1 tickets sell out as Malaysians flock to Sepang race

MADANI tickets priced from as low as RM200 for the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2026 at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) from Oct 2 to 4 have sold out amid strong demand from Malaysians, Youth and Sports Minister Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari said.

He said SIC had confirmed that the allocation was fully taken up after sales were opened to the public.

"As of today, the Madani tickets have indeed been fully sold, but we will also look at whether there is room and a need for additional Madani tickets and so on.

“We will make further announcements from time to time," he told reporters after the closing ceremony of Innovation Development Through Educational Activities (iDEA'26) and the 2026 Eastern Zone Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) education and training roadshow for institutions under the Youth and Sports Ministry (ILKBS) at Dewan Tun Razak in Termerlon, Pahang today.

Mohammed Taufiq said iDEA'26 was more than an innovation competition, serving as a platform to develop the ideas, creativity and expertise of TVET students and provide opportunities for their innovations to be commercialised in Malaysia, ASEAN and international markets.

"Their products are highly suitable for the market and should not stop at merely winning competitions. We will assess and see how these products can be developed further, including making improvements before they can be marketed nationwide," he said.

He said the Youth and Sports Ministry was also strengthening the national TVET agenda through 12 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) signed between skills training institutions and industry partners.

The partnerships are intended to create more employment opportunities for young people while strengthening collaboration between training institutions and industry.

"That is the purpose of iDEA'26 — not just to win competitions, but to develop innovations, create products with market value and nurture new talent in the country," he said. - August 17, 2026
