
TAWAU: A local woman, 32, was arrested on suspicion of being involved in theft at a handicraft training centre in the Fajar town area which resulted in a loss of RM29,000 around 4pm on Saturday.
Tawau district police chief, ACP Jasmin Hussin said, the suspect was arrested in the town area after she was tracked down by a Tawau police Strike Team.
Advertisement“The team also seized a sewing machine that was reported missing by the management of the centre on April 5, 2022,” he said.
In the police report, the complainant noticed the gate and the doorknob inside the office open upon arrival.

The suspect was remanded to assist in investigations under Section 457 of the Penal Code for breaking into the premises with intent to steal.
