
KUALA LUMPUR - Two Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) personnel injured in the Super Lynx helicopter emergency landing at Pantai Klebang on New Year’s Eve are set to be transferred to the 96 Armed Forces Hospital (96 HAT), Lumut, Perak today.
State Health, Human Resources and Unity Exco Datuk Ngwe Hee Sem confirmed that Senior Chief Technician Marine Srimala (TMS) Mohammad Zullfika Mohiddi is currently receiving treatment at the Yellow Zone, Emergency and Trauma Department of Melaka Hospital for injuries to his waist and right calf.
"Mohammad Zullfika is expected to be transferred to 96 Armed Forces Hospital to receive further treatment there," Ngwe said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Commander Afiq Muzani Abdul Aziz remains under close medical supervision at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after suffering lung complications. Ngwe added that Afiq Muzani will also be moved to Lumut once his condition stabilises.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night when the RMN’s Super Lynx helicopter made an emergency landing in the waters off Pantai Klebang. The aircraft was performing a demonstration flight in conjunction with the 60th Anniversary Celebration of the Special Operations Group (GGK), Malaysian Army (TDM).
Four air crew were on board when the helicopter went down at about 10.50 pm. All were successfully rescued and rushed to Melaka Hospital for examination and treatment. - January 2, 2026
