MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Police District (MPD) announced Tuesday that several roads in the city would be closed starting 9 p.m. on April 30, 2026, following the announcement that Labor Day activities will be held on May 1.
In a Facebook post, the MPD said the affected roads included stretches of C.M. Recto Avenue from N. Reyes Street to Mendiola, as well as Legarda Street from Figueras Street to San Rafael Street.
Road closures will also be implemented near Liwasang Bonifacio, particularly along Magallanes Drive from Jones Bridge to McArthur Bridge.
Meanwhile, Ayala Bridge and the eastbound lane of Ayala Boulevard from San Marcelino Street to Romualdez Street will also be closed.
The MPD urged motorists to take alternate routes to avoid inconvenience during the scheduled road closures.
