Rob Reiner's son 'marries' fiancee

Rob Reiner's son Jake Reiner has reportedly married his fiancee Maria Gilfillan eight months after his parents were killed.
Jake, 35, exchanged vows with his partner in a small ceremony in early August, according to TMZ, and the news has emerged shortly after the actor/writer gave his first TV interview since Rob and Michele Reiner were found stabbed to death at their Los Angeles home in December.
During the interview with ABC7 Los Angeles, Jake appeared to be wearing a wedding band on his left hand but he did not mention the nuptials.
The When Harry Met Sally filmmaker and his wife were found dead at their home in December and their youngest son Nick Reiner subsequently charged with their murders.
In the interview, Jake admitted he will "never understand" the tragedy, saying: "[Nick]’s in jail. It’s like, I physically lost my parents, and then Nick was arrested. Now it’s just me and [sister] Romy, and we have to navigate this by ourselves essentially.
"For me, it manifests into anger. It manifests into rage, into how unfair this was, how I didn’t get a say in what happened.
"I didn’t get to stop it from happening. I had no choice in the matter. I just have to accept the reality of it. And to me, that is just one of the most infuriating parts of all of this.
"I’ll never understand. I don’t care how it’s explained to me. I don’t care what facts come out. I will never understand why this happened.
Nick, 32, has been indicted on two counts of murder with the special circumstance allegations of multiple murders and murder by means of lying in wait.
He also faces another special allegation that he personally used a dangerous and deadly weapon in the form of a knife.
Jake previously opened up about the tragedy in an essay posted on Substack in which he revealed he felt devastated that his parents would not be around to see him get married or meet their future grandchildren.
He wrote: "I was robbed of so many things that day. My parents won’t be at my wedding, they won’t get to hold their future grandchild, and they won’t get to see me have the successful career I’m still seeking. It simultaneously breaks my heart and enrages me.
"Nothing can prepare you for what it feels like to lose both parents instantly at the same time. It’s too devastating to comprehend. I still wake up every morning having to convince myself that, no, it’s not a dream. This truly is my living nightmare."
