Kota Kinabalu: A 34-year-old man, charged with robbing a senior citizen, will know his fate on July 13 this year.

Sessions Court Judge Elsie Primus set the date for decision and submissions for Mohammad Sobrie Muali’s case when the defence closed its case after calling three witnesses.

Mohammad is accused of robbing one Laina Houpin, 61, of RM2,200, a pair of gold earrings and a gold necklace at 7.30pm on April 9, 2021 by the roadside in front of the La Dentista Dental Clinic at Lorong Cyber City, in Tanjung Aru, here.

He allegedly committed the offence together with another accused Joseph Gude who pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced accordingly.

The prosecution had called six witnesses during the hearing.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Mas Izzaty Lokman appeared for the prosecution.

Meanwhile, six illegal immigrants were jailed four months each for entering the State illegally.

They were Nadzri Sapilih, Asmil Tito, Azri Rujil, Alberis Sahel, Ahmad Adat and Sufian Jesus.

They were arrested between June 13 and 24 this year at different places in Tenom and city area after failing to produce their identification documents to the police.

The court ordered the six to serve the jail sentence from the date of their arrests.

After completing their jail sentence, they were ordered referred to the Immigration Department for their biometric data to be recorded before deportation.
