Ronda Rousey has intensified her criticism of the UFC after a major fight announcement for her upcoming event on Netflix.
Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions recently confirmed that Nate Diaz will face Mike Perry on the same card as Rousey’s long-anticipated fight with Gina Carano on May 16.
The Stockton native’s return to MMA is particularly notable as it will be his first fight in the sport since submitting Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 in September 2022.
And ‘Rowdy’ used Diaz’s comeback to escalate her feud with the MMA premier promotion.
Ronda Rousey takes aim at UFC executive Hunter Campbell

Following the Diaz vs Perry announcement, Rousey posted a fiery message on X, targeting the UFC and one of its most influential executives.
“Welcome to the revolution Nate Diaz and Mike Perry!” she wrote.
“It’s the FIGHTERS vs the establishment – and we’re gunna win! May 16th only on @netflix P.S. #HunterCampbell pissed off the wrong b—, I’m coming for your job mot——.”
Hunter Campbell is widely regarded as one of the most powerful figures behind the scenes in the UFC.
As the organisation’s chief business officer, he plays a central role in negotiations and matchmaking alongside UFC president Dana White.
The former attorney has been described as White’s closest executive ally and is heavily involved in major fight deals and strategic decisions within the promotion. He is believed to have played a major part in UFC not promoting Rousey’s MMA return.
Ronda Rousey continues criticism of UFC structure and fighter pay
Rousey’s comments are part of a broader campaign in which she has criticised the UFC’s business model and treatment of fighters.
The former bantamweight champion has recently described the organisation as one of the worst places for athletes to earn a living, arguing that fighters should have more power and financial security within the sport.
Her current messaging frames the Netflix card as a challenge to the established MMA system. Rousey has repeatedly suggested that alternative promotions and crossover events could give fighters greater control over their careers and earnings.
With Diaz now joining the card and additional high-profile bouts expected, the event is being presented as both a major spectacle and a statement against the traditional structure of MMA promotions.
