Kota Kinabalu: Strong collaboration between the Federal and Sabah governments is important to ensure development programmes are delivered effectively to the people, said Sabah Federal Secretary Datuk Seri Rosli Isa.
He said civil servants must continuously enhance their knowledge and skills in governance to realise the State’s development vision.
He said this at the Third Federal Department Heads and Federal Statutory Bodies Liaison Meeting for Sabah 2025.
The cooperation supports Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s continued focus on Sabah and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor’s efforts to advance the State, particularly ahead of the Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 2.0 roadmap implementation from 2026 to 2030.
The meeting served as a platform to strengthen the Malaysia Madani concept advocated by the Prime Minister while discussing various community programmes to benefit Sabahans.
Several presentations were made, including preparations for community programmes and planning by the Election Commission (SPR) and Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) to ensure better information delivery to the public.
Rosli reminded civil servants to maintain integrity, stay aware of current situations and provide accurate information to the community.
“Civil servants are the backbone of government. We must preserve integrity in line with the Chief Secretary’s guidance so that public service truly becomes the driver of State development,” he said.
The liaison meeting involved participation from 151 agencies across Sabah.
