SHAH ALAM - Malaysian sporting legends took to the streets with the public through the ‘Run with Legends’ activation ahead of the ikhlas.com Half Marathon 2026.
The event brought together former national athletes, sporting personalities and members of the Shah Alam running community at Kopi & Pantun, here, on Wednesday.
Among those who took part were former badminton player Roslin Hashim, former footballers Khalid Jamalus and Datuk Zainal Abidin Hassan, former athlete Datuk Zaiton Othman, motorsport personality Karamjit Singh and sepak takraw player Azlan Mubin.
Radio personality Fara Fauzana and ikhlas.com commercial advisor Datuk Rosyam Nor also joined the gathering organised by ikhlas.com in collaboration with Shah Alam Running Club.
Ikhlas.com chief executive officer Ikhlas Kamarudin said the event was aimed at showing that running was not only about physical fitness but also about discipline, perseverance and the people met along the way.
“Through ‘Run with Legends’, we want to celebrate Malaysia’s sporting legends while encouraging more people to take their first step towards a healthier and more active lifestyle.
“Whether it is the 5KM or half marathon, every journey starts with a single step,” he said.
The activation also included a running clinic by Al-Ikhsan Sports and PUMA, refreshments by ZOMBIX and NUMA Sports Hijab giveaways.
The ikhlas.com Half Marathon 2026 will be held at Dataran Kemerdekaan Shah Alam on Dec 6, featuring the 5KM Fun Run, 10KM Run and 21KM Half Marathon categories.
Registration is now open to the public.
