Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s caseload nearly breached the 100 mark with 96 cases on Tuesday, an increase from 76 the day earlier, said Sabah’s Covid-19 Spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 37 cases, followed by Penampang (20), Papar (10), Tuaran (8), Sandakan (6), Putatan (5) and Keningau (3).

“There are a higher number of districts recording an increase in cases, which includes seven districts that recorded zero infections the day before.

“Among them are Papar with 10 new cases and Putatan with five. Tuaran’s cases also rose to eight.

“Overall, the number of infection-free districts decreased from 19 to only 15 on Tuesday,” he said in a statement, Tuesday.

Masidi said all 96 cases were category one and two infections, of which 76 per cent were sporadic. No deaths or new clusters were identified.
