Sabah Covid cases dip below 200 mark

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s caseload fell below the 200 mark with 187 on Saturday from 205 the day earlier.

Sabah’s Covid-19 Spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said there were 1,974 test samples on Saturday compared to 2,179 on Saturday, while the positivity rate dropped from 9.56 per cent to 9.22 per cent.

Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 68 cases, followed by Sandakan (19), Penampang (18), Tuaran (16) and Putatan (11).

“Six districts, namely Kalabakan, Nabawan, Ranau, Sipitang, Telupid and Tenom did not record any new infections,” said Masidi in a statement, Saturday.

He said 181 out of 187 cases were category one and two infections, while one case was recorded in category three and five in category four.

No deaths or new clusters were identified.
