Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 caseload dipped to 281 on Thursday from 318 the day earlier due to a lower number of test samples.

Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said there were 3,088 samples on Thursday compared to 3,291 on Wednesday.

The positivity rate also decreased slightly from 10.39 per cent to 10.04 per cent.

Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 105 cases, followed by Sandakan (36), Penampang (26), Tawau (25), Tuaran (20), Putatan (15) and Papar (12).

“Overall, 16 districts recorded a decrease compared to four that recorded an increase. Seven districts did not record any new infections,” said Masidi in a statement, Thursday.

He said 280 out of 281 cases were category one and two infections, while one case was recorded in category three.

No deaths or new clusters were identified.
