
KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Fest 2025 opened with a cultural showcase highlighting music and dance from the state’s five divisions – West Coast, Kudat, Sandakan, Tawau and the Interior.
Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Seri Christina Liew, who launched the festival, said the performances embodied Sabah’s diverse traditions and the spirit of unity among its people.
The festival, themed “Unity in Diversity: Culture Unites Us”, runs from Aug 30-Sept 30 in conjunction with National Day, Sabah Day and Malaysia Day.
Liew said Sabah Fest serves as a celebration of heritage while also providing a platform to empower communities and share the unique cultural spirit of Sabah with the world.
