SANDAKAN: Sabah’s forest and marine carbon assets are the keys to helping Malaysia meet its carbon neutral goal by 2050.
Not only that, Sabah, the second largest state in Malaysia also plays a crucial role in Malaysia’s aim to help Asean achieve pledged climate change fight goals.
Sabah is the only state that plays host to the global centre of marine biological diversity – the Coral Triangle and also plays a key role in the Heart of Borneo (HOB) initiative with its conservation efforts to achieve 30 per cent of its land to be under forest cover as a green lung for the world.
