Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded 134 new Covid-19 cases Monday, 22 cases lower than Sunday’s figure.
State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, who is Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson, said the decline in cases was in line with the decrease in the positivity rate to 10.11 per cent (11.89 per cent on Sunday) with the number of test samples almost the same.
He said three districts recorded double-digit infections, namely Kota Kinabalu with 48 cases (-12), Sandakan with 16 cases (+3) and Papar with 14 cases (+6).
“Twelve districts did not record any new infections in the past 24 hours. Tongod became the only ‘green district’ in Sabah when it recorded no new cases for 14 consecutive days,” he said in a statement, Monday.
Masidi said 132 of the 134 cases recorded Monday were in Category 1 and Category 2, while one case each was in Category 4 and Category 5.
