Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded 147 new Covid-19 infections on Saturday, a drop of 18 cases compared to 165 the day earlier.

Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun attributed the decrease to the lower number of test samples, which was 1,639 compared to 2,151 on Friday, but with a higher positivity rate of 8.97pc.

Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 40 cases, followed by Tawau (20), Lahad Datu (12), Kota Marudu (10), Sandakan (9), Tuaran (8), Kota Belud (7) and Papar (7).

He said six districts did not record any new infections.

Masidi said a total of 143 out of 147 cases were in Category One and Category Two, one case each in Category Three and Category Three, and two cases in Category Five.

No deaths or new clusters were identified.
