Sabah’s cases spike to 165

Kota Kinabalu: A higher number of test samples and increased positivity rate pushed Sabah’s caseload to 165 on Friday from 124 the day earlier, said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

He said the test samples increased by 109 to 2,155 on Friday while the positivity rate increased to 7.67 per cent.

Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 33 cases, followed by Sandakan (16), Kota Marudu (14), Tuaran (14), Penampang (13), Lahad Datu (11), Papar (11) and Tawau (10).

“Eight districts did not record any new infections,” he said in a statement, Friday.

He said 163 out of 165 cases were category one and two infections while one case was each recorded in category three and four.

No deaths or new clusters were identified.
