Sabah’s Chin to lead Malaysia’s charge

Kota Kinabalu: Tennis ace Christian Chin will lead Malaysia’s charge in the Korea 101st Dong-A International Soft Tennis Tournament scheduled to be held in Mungyeong from May 4-11.

This will be the 22-year-old Sabahan’s debut appearance in the international soft tennis stage.

He is among the three soft netters named in the national squad together with fellow Sabahan Ethan Tay Ee Harm and Daniel Leong Prickett from Kuala Lumpur.

They had started their centralised training a week ago here at the Kota Kinabalu Sports Complex under head coach KK Chin with assistance from Christopher Chong and Leviance Chong.

Meanwhile, Chin who was appointed tournament director for soft tennis at the 32nd SEA Games left for Cambodia on Sunday and the players’ training session was handled by Christopher and Leviance before their departure on May 4.
