
Kota Kinabalu: A 10-member team from Sabah Wushu Association (2017) attended the “Road to Sukma 2024” Wushu Training Camp that ended at the Chin Woo Stadium in Kuala Lumpur last Friday.
The five-day course was organised by Wushu Federation of Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur to provide comprehensive training plans for the athletes and the trainees also received guidance from the coaching staff to further improve their overall skills.
It was conducted by Kuala Lumpur coaches Lim Yew Fai, Yang Yong Yao, See Min and Penang coach Yap Wai Kin and the aim of participating was to select and develop the state athletes in preparation for Malaysian Games (Sukma) 2024.
The athletes chosen based on their exceptional performance in their respective competitions were Lee Sien Bin, Ignatius Chong Enoch, Lee Sien Zhang, Lim Zhi Jie from SM Tshung Tsin, Avey Avylla Laban, Isabelle Solibun from SM Shan Tao, Ericsson Wong from SMT Kota Kinabalu, Casandra Wong Ya Li, Ezekiel Chong Ian and Mason Chu Yee Rung from SJKC St James.
