Kota Kinabalu: Sabahan Lai Wen Li won the women’s singles title at the Greenwich Open Squash tournament held at the Field & Round Hill Clubs, Connecticut, USA over the weekend (October 26-30).
The 22-year-old Kota Kinabalu lass who was seeded second in the tournament defeated England’s top seed Alicia Mead 11-8,12-10, 11-2 in the final to take the crown.
She had earlier booked her place in the final by beating unseeded American Emma Trauber 11-6,11-6,11-7 in the last four.
