Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Fish Marketing Sdn Bhd (Safma) provided immediate assistance to ease the burden of victims affected by the fire in Kampung Numbak, Karambunai.
The welfare initiative was carried out through the handover of donations of the agency’s premium product, Ikan Rakyat Sabah.
“We handed over this donation to Karambunai Community Development Leader Nordin Ludah, in the hope it will to some extent help those struck by this disaster,” he General Manager Burhan Japar.
Burhan said Safma hoped the distribution process to all affected heads of households can be carried out as quickly as possible.
“This noble effort also received strong cooperation from fishery association representatives who consistently support community programmes in this state,” he said.
