Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Fish Marketing Sdn Bhd (Safma) has provided immediate relief to victims of the recent fire in Kampung Numbak, Karambunai, by donating its Ikan Rakyat Sabah fish products.
Safma general manager Burhan Japar said the initiative was aimed at ensuring the basic food needs and welfare of displaced residents are taken care of during this difficult period.
The donation was officially handed over on Wednesday to Karambunai Community Development Leader (PPM) Nordin Ludah for prompt distribution to all affected heads of households.
The aid mission was carried out in collaboration with Fisheries Association representatives and Sabah West Coast boat owners, who assisted directly with the distribution.
Burhan thanked the fisheries industry partners for their involvement and reaffirmed Safma’s commitment to carrying out its corporate social responsibility during disasters and emergencies.
