Johan, not his real name, had always been a man of sincere intentions and unwavering trust in the goodness of people.

I have known him for the past 40 years. This is his confession about the love he found on Facebook.

Anyway, after the tragic loss of his beloved wife, he found himself craving companionship once more.

That's when he turned to the digital realm for love and met June, a widow herself, on Facebook.

Their courtship had been brief, but it felt right. June was enchanting, and Johan believed he had found a second chance at happiness.

However, she told him that she was an only child and she had lost all her documents in a house fire a long time ago. Through Johan's help, she was able to obtain a new identity card and a driver's licence.

Soon, they married, and June moved into Johan's picturesque house in Shah Alam as husband and wife.

However, their marriage was far from conventional. June seemed reluctant to share the same bed, insisting on conjugal relations only by appointment.

Johan was disheartened, but he gave it time, thinking perhaps June needed more time to adjust to married life.

Several months passed, and Johan's disappointment grew. Unable to bear the strained relationship any longer, he decided to file for divorce.

Surprisingly, June didn't contest the divorce, but she insisted on staying in her own room within the house.

One week after the divorce was finalized, Johan had to travel to Penang for a business meeting.

June offered to drive him to the airport, promising to clean the house and his car while he was away. Relieved, Johan agreed and left for his trip.

Three days later, he returned home to Shah Alam, hoping that the time apart would have improved their situation.

The house was eerily pristine, almost devoid of any personal touch, and his grand piano stood as the only reminder of the life they once shared. His expensive professional cameras, his paintings, his TV and karaoke set, his newly purchased oven, referigerator, and wine chiller, plus his treasured collection of fine wine, were gone.

He opened his wardrobe and discovered that all his clothes were missing too. She did not even leave him his favourite pyjamas.

His car was safely parked in the garage, but one crucial detail struck him like a bolt of lightning—the keys were gone.

Johan's heart sank as he realized that he had been scammed, not just emotionally, but now materially as well.

June had seemingly orchestrated this elaborate scheme, leaving him with an empty house, a stolen car, and a grand piano as a cruel token of her departure.

The pain of betrayal cut deep, and Johan knew he had been naive, blindly falling for the charms of a woman he met online.

He vowed to be more cautious in the future, guarding not only his heart but also his possessions from those who sought to deceive him.

The haunting echo of his grand piano's melody served as a constant reminder of the love he had lost and the scars that remained from a relationship built on deceit.
