KUDAT: The administration building, including the teachers’ room, at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Panudahan here was destroyed in an early morning fire on Wednesday.
Kudat Fire and Rescue Station Chief Darickson Galanang said the 40ft by 80ft building was completely destroyed in the incident.
He said 11 personnel, led by Senior Fire Officer I John Francis, rushed to the scene with two fire engines after receiving an emergency call at 2.21am.
The firefighters arrived at 3.31am after travelling about 46 kilometres and found the fire had destroyed the non-permanent structure.
“The operation was brought under control at 4.03am and concluded at 6.31am,” he said.
No injuries or fatalities were reported.
The cause of the fire and the extent of the losses are still being investigated.
