SEMPORNA: An early morning fire destroyed a wooden house in Ladang Sabdi, along Jalan Semporna-Tawau, here, on Monday.
The State Fire and Rescue department said the department received a distress call following the incident at 2.57am via MERS999.
AdvertisementA team of firefighters from Semporna Fire and Rescue station was deployed to the scene.
“Upon arrival, the team reported that a house measuring 20x35sq ft was 100 per cent destroyed by fire.

Read more “The team extinguished the fire using a stream with two sprouts and manages to put the fire under control at 3.27am,” said the department.
No casualty was reported in the incident and the team ended the operation at 4.19am after ensuring there was no other hazard at the scene.
