Senegal midfielder Pape Gueye says he will no longer play for his country under coach Pape Thiaw after being substituted in the dramatic World Cup last-32 defeat by Belgium.
The 27-year-old Villarreal player was angry about being taken off after 66 minutes in the 3-2 extra-time loss on Wednesday.
"I would like to announce today that as long as this coaching staff is in place, I will take a break from the national team," Gueye wrote in an Instagram story.
"I was physically in good shape, but in the end the coach makes the decisions."
