At least nine people, including four children, were injured in a heavy Russian airstrike on the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, officials said on Friday.
More than 40 private homes were damaged when guided glide bombs were dropped on the city, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said on Telegram.
Ukraine's second-largest city, which had a population of 1.4 million before the war, lies only about 40 kilometres from the Russian border.
The city has been one of the most frequent targets of Russian attacks and has suffered heavy destruction during more than four years of war.
